Motueka High School
A new two-storey teaching block, closed in and weathertight in a single pass with Conqueror Roof and Wall Panels.
Motueka High School needed a new two-storey teaching block delivered inside a single holiday-driven programme, on a live campus with classes running either side of the site fence. The brief asked for a crisp, dark envelope with deep vertical ribs and a roof that would hold its thermal performance through Tasman's cold, clear winters.
Conqueror Roof and Wall Panels were specified for both roof and wall. With structure, insulation and the weatherproof skin arriving as one panel, the installer closed the building in with a single pass rather than building up separate layers. This meant less time exposed to the weather and less disruption beside occupied classrooms.
Panels were cut to length in Christchurch and delivered directly to the site, allowing long roof runs to be installed with fewer joints to seal. The finished block reads as one quiet, dark form against the school's older buildings, while the Titania internal liner gives the classrooms a smooth, bright and easily cleaned surface.
“We were closed in and weathertight far quicker than we would have been with a built-up roof. One product, one pass.”
